It covers topics such as OSHA regulations, wound management, sterilization and disinfection, safety protocols, and personal protective equipment use. Participants will learn how to identify and respond to potential exposures to blood borne pathogens in their workplace and community. 

There will also be emphasis on the importance of a comprehensive infection control program, which includes proper training of healthcare workers, proper disposal of waste, and diligent enforcement of safety protocols. This course satisfies OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030 training requirements.

What is the target audience?

Blood-borne pathogens online course is designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches attendees how blood-borne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material.

This course provides training solutions, which meets DOT requirements for those employees who handle or transport hazardous materials.
